Which image formats are supported?

You can compress JPG, PNG and WebP images, and convert between these formats while compressing.

Will compressing reduce image quality?

JPG and WebP use adjustable lossy quality, so you can balance file size against visual quality with the quality slider. PNG compression is lossless, so quality stays the same regardless of the slider.

Is there a file size limit?

You can compress images up to 25MB. Larger files may be slow to process depending on your device.

Can I compress multiple images at once?

Yes. Add up to 100 images in one batch, compress them all with the same quality and format settings, then download each one individually or all together as a ZIP.

Why did my file get bigger after compressing?

This can happen with PNG images that were already optimized by another tool. The browser's PNG encoder doesn't reduce colors or use a palette the way dedicated optimizers do, so re-encoding an already-small PNG can produce a larger file. If that happens, try converting to JPEG or WebP instead, which usually compress further.
