Frequently Asked Questions
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Image Resizer runs entirely in your browser using the Canvas API. Your files never leave your device.
Which image formats are supported?
You can resize JPG, PNG and WebP images, and convert between these formats while resizing.
Can I keep the original aspect ratio?
Yes. Leave "Lock aspect ratio" checked and each image's height is calculated automatically from the width you enter, using that image's own proportions.
Will resizing reduce image quality?
Shrinking an image usually looks sharp. Enlarging an image beyond its original resolution can make it look softer, since new pixels are interpolated rather than captured.
Is there a file size limit?
You can resize images up to 25MB. Larger files may be slow to process depending on your device.
Can I resize multiple images at once?
Yes. Add up to 100 images in one batch, resize them all to the same width (and height, if aspect ratio isn't locked), then download each one individually or all together as a ZIP.
